PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Physician Assistant, Cesar Munoz, began his career in orthopedic surgery in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas at Christus-Spohn Shoreline and Memorial Hospitals, where he focused on general orthopedics and quickly became a part of the orthopedic trauma surgery team. While treating severe orthopedic injuries he became passionate in fragility fracture prevention. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in College Station. He was also a multiple year Distinguished Student Award recipient. He finished his studies in Edinburg, Texas by earning his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the Pan American branch of The University of Texas. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, tennis and spending time with family and friends.
Cesar Munoz works closely with the Orthopedists to provide the following services:
- Osteoporosis Management: Prevention program to help patients who have suffered a bone fracture prevent future breaks by providing a bone evaluation, and personalized plan to reach and maintain bone quality
- Sports Injury Care: Steroid injections, durable medical equipment application
- Osteoarthritis Management: Bracing and specialty off-loader bracing applications, steroid injections, hyaluronic acid injections
- Fracture Care: Splinting, casting, application of moldable/removable bracing
- Assist surgeons with surgical procedures and post-operative care
