REGISTERED NURSE
Family nurse practitioner, John J. Arringdale, is a board certified provider with more than seven years of nursing with a background in surgery, emergency, and orthopedics. His strong clinical skills are enhanced by his natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. He believes in following evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition.
John completed his Masters of Business Administration at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He then went on to earn his Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at the Baptist School of Health Professions here in San Antonio. At Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he earned his Master of Science: Family Nurse Practitioner degree as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau honors society. John is also a certified Surgical First Assistant and is able to assist our surgeons in the care of patients while in surgery.
John is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association. In his spare time, John enjoys tennis, swimming, hunting and fishing.
Here at the Orthopedic Performance Institute, in addition to assisting the surgeons with procedures and post-operative care, John will be helping patients with:
- Osteoarthritis Management: Bracing and specialty off-loader bracing applications, steroid injections, hyaluronic acid injections, and stem cell injections
- Fracture Care: Splinting, casting and the application of moldable/removable bracing
- Sports Injury Care: Steroid injections and durable medical equipment application
